Biography:
Ganther, also known as Walid Bouhaik, is an acclaimed producer and DJ hailing from Rabat, Morocco. With a passion for digging through records and crafting captivating beats, Ganther seamlessly blends global sounds from 70's and 80's Moroccan culture with contemporary electronic music, nu-disco, and hip hop elements. His distinctive lo-fi productions create an immersive sonic experience that transports listeners to different eras and cultures.

Having pursued studies in China, Ganther began his DJing journey, captivating audiences at renowned clubs in Beijing and Guangzhou. His exceptional talent caught the attention of Taipei's Cros Music, where he was invited to join their team as a music producer and DJ, further expanding his creative horizons.

Ganther's versatility as an artist extends beyond music production. With a keen eye for visual aesthetics, he channels his creativity into video editing and graphic design, drawing inspiration from vintage anime and classic films. This multidisciplinary approach enriches his performances, creating a holistic audio-visual experience for his audience.

In 2021, Ganther was honored to be selected as one of the Artists in the international Music Fellowship organized by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with Bang on a Can's Found Sound Nation. This recognition solidifies his position as a rising talent in the global music scene.
